*HISTORY*

·              Started her career as a working in small NGO’s.

·              Heading Usodeum Performing Arts as a “MANAGING DIRECTOR” since 2006. A group which performs street-plays and skits based on various lively social issues and gets connected to masses spreading message through entertainment.

·              Worked as Counsellor with various NGO’s, experienced in Public-Relations.

·              Worked with many renowned non-governmental organisations 20 and more . Collaborating with these NGO’s reached the interior of slums of areas like Dharavi, Malvani (Malad), Kandivali, Wadala, Borivali ,Juhu , Kooper Hospital  and Kurla and even districts like Nashik within Maharashtra.

                       

·              The campaign of “My Malvani Mast Malvani” was so huge that the group performed 155 shows in 7 days under Mrs. Shabana Shaikh in the interiors slums of Malvani which is the 2^nd largest slum of Asia. Street plays were performed on subjects like Cleanliness, NO Tobacco, Education. Workshops were conducted by Mrs. Shabana Shaikh for women on subjects like “WOMEN EMPOWERMENT” and “FEMALE INFANTICIDE”, “SAVE AAREY”, “SAVE WATER” and many more.( anti superstition , corruption ).

                               

 ·              Was invited by TV9 as social activists and Speaker to speak about the work done at Malvani about Cleanliness Drive.

   

         

                     

·              Working in Ward no 132 under issues Cleanliness, Road Safety, and being a PRESIDENT, worked for the welfare of “ASTITVA MAHILA BACHAT GAT”.

                       

·              Worked on Disaster issues by organising a Rally which occurred in Nepal at Gate-Way, Marine Lines , Girgaon Chowpati in front of spontaneous crowd with the help of Mumbai University.

                    

                                         

·              Worked with D.S. Research Centre, who works for cancer patients on “NO TOBACCO DAY”.

·              Was leading the rally supporting the victim of “Nirbhay” incident happened at Delhi. More than 1500 people participated in the rally.

·              Was a part of beach cleaning conducted by “HINDUSTHAN TIMES” which was a 2-day campaign.

·              Performed a skit at Poisar Gymkhana, Kandivali on the issue of “Cleanliness” which was organised by Gymkhana club.

                        

·              Worked with Old Age Homes, Cheshire Home, where the disabled children were seen smiling.

·              Leading the most impressive function of the Usodeum Performing Arts, named “KASTURI – Fragrance Of Talent”. The event which included disabled peoples who were blind, mentally retarded and physically challenged children and aged. The event also include the performance of kids who were form the small village of Nashik, Maharashtra.

·              Performed show at Carter Road, Bandra during Diwali on “STOP POLLUTION” which is a problem arising out due to crackers.

·              Worked at Aarey Colony in the movement “SAVE AAREY”. This movement was against ceasing the cutting of more than 1500 trees, which had a very drastic impact as there was stay order from court.

*ACHIEVEMENTS*

·              CULTURAL PRESIDENT OF MAHARASHTRA OF PRESS9.

                              

·              Honoured as a “Best Group” at various places and even got acknowledgements from various schools run by BMC’s.

·              Interviewed by JIA NEWS   at Poddar International School, Santacruz, on importance of education.

·              Successful workshop conducted at Nashik where Mrs. Asha tai Patil visited the workshop and was acknowledged by her.

·              Was felicitated at Poisar Gymkhana at Kandivali where we performed skit on “CLEAN INDIA GREEN INDIA”.

                           

·              On 15^th August 2015 Mrs. Shabana Shaikh  was given the post of of Social media coordinator of Mumbai Regional Congress Minority Department at Ragiv Gandhi Bhavan ,Azad maidan by Mr.Sanjay Nirupam
